Professional Social Media Profiles

The social media site LinkedIn is a GREAT tool to utilize when branding and even creating a name for yourself. The down side is the basic account doesn't do too much and the premium account costs money. When creating a professional account things to consider would include easy and simple visuals which catch a persons attention, also connecting and networking with others that share interests so their followers could easily find me and therefore continue to grow my following. On LinkedIn I have found groups that allow my baking and pastry interests to grow and develop. Groups such as "Pastry Chefs" is a group of others with the profession whether beginners up through advanced; sites like this is what is going to help me grow and develop further as well as network to build my business.

5 Blog Roll: That Can Improve My Personal Brand

I have a love of baking and food in general. 5 blogs that prove influential to improving my personal brand are as followed:

Joy The Baker is the winner of the Best 2014 Sweet & Baking Food Blog. Her blog shows her glowing personality and her love of food as well as her creativity. She shares recipes as well as podcasts as well as videos to help the newbie baker or to give ideas to those more advanced.

Brown Eyed Baker is a "A baking-centric food blog with over 1000 recipes that include original photography". Creative and fun blog with various recipes etc. all over. She includes her own social media sites as well for other ways to stay connected with her.

Bakerella offers various recipes, giveaways, and creative ideas for those who love to bake.

My Baking Addiction is a more informational blog. Including recipes as well, My Baking Addiction includes the more personal aspect of their life with blog posts of trips, family events, etc.

Butter Baking is another great informational site.

All 5 are great in their own ways but are all very informative and personal. All 5 really show me how to connect with my followers and really get creative with my art. Connecting with them on other social media pages will grow my own followers because of the common connection. Therefore a larger network that I can reach.

Week #2

Who am I?

I am a 24 year old college student just struggling to make it through. Majoring in Business Administration, I hope to use the degree with a pastry arts degree and open my own bakery and cafe. I come from a very large and close Italian family and food is something that brought us together, whether Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, or just cookouts. I learned a lot helping out in the kitchen during those times. A meal is a canvas of numerous possibilities. Its my passion, my stress relief, my copping mechanism, my go-to during everything volunteer wise.

Why am I here?

Food might be my passion but business is going to be my foundation when I get my bakery up and running. There is business in everything and there are new ways developed daily. I want to learn all aspects of it and get ahead of the curve when the day comes, because as you are all well aware of, there are bakeries around every corner just about and I want to stand out from the crowd.

My personal brand has got to make me stand on my own. I am striving to be unique and creative, to be consistent, and to put people first. People, the followers, critics, competitors, investors, etc. are the ones who make or break a company and they are the ones that will constantly be pushing me to achieve greatness. But it as whole is still a work in progress. . .
                                                                                                 Stay Tuned. . .

Just a portion of the craziness I come from...
